A depiction of the goddess Bast in her full cat form. A national deity of ancient Egypt, Bast was a kind and loving goddess, protecting man from contagious disease and evil spirits. Her festivals were light hearted and full of joy. This statue is made of cold cast resin and hand painted. It stands 5 1/2 in high. |

| Canopic Jars (set of 4) | |

Canopic Jars were used to hold the organs of the dead after they were embalmed. The lids were commonly carved to resemble the four sons of Horus. The four organs housed by the jars were the lungs, the stomach, the liver and the intestines. Egyptians held no regard for the brain, which was discarded. The heart was left inside the body, to be judged in the afterlife. The set of four Canopic jars are cold cast resin and hand painted. They are all 3 3/4 in high. |

From the Greek word meaning; 'a spit', an obelisk is a monumental tapering shaft usually made of pink granite. Capped with a pyramid ion at the top. Obelisks are solar symbols similar in meaning to pyramids, they are associated with an ancient stone called BENBEN in Heliopolis. They were set in pairs, at the entrances of temples, and to some Old Kingdom tombs. Cold cast resin, hand painted. 8 1/2 in high x 2 in square base. |
