Eucalyptus (wh) - Bulk (1 lb)
Also known as Eucalyptus globules, Blue Gum Tree, or Stringy Bark Tree, Eucalyptus was originally found in Australia and actually consists of 700 species of plants. After attracting the attention of numerous environmental and global development researches due to its fast growth, it can now be found all over the world as a rapidly growing wood whose oil can be used as a natural insecticide. Aboriginal traditions have long used Eucalyptus to heal wounds and treat fungal infections. Indeed, teas made of the leaves were also used to reduce fevers. In the 19th century it was also utilized in England to clean urinary catheters, with later studies showing that Eucalyptus has strong antibacterial properties. Some traditions of folklore also hold that it is a potent aid in the spiritual world, being of particular use in spells and rituals that involve healing and protection. Modern herbalists view eucalyptus as a powerful antiseptic, using it sometimes as a gargle for treating numerous afflictions of the mouth and throat. When used locally, it can also sometimes be used to impair sensibility. Some also hold that the oil can be used as a potent expectorant, antiseptic, and even as a deodorant. This is a 1 lb packet of whole, Certified Organic Eucalyptus.
