| WolfWalker Dreamcatcher Earrings | |
![]() |
The legend of the Dreamcatcher is found among many of the North American tribes. The dreamcatcher looks like a spider web. The web is woven out of sinew inside a red willow branch that has bent into a circle. A hole is left in the middle of the net with a feather attached by the hole. It is hung above a child's bed (or anyone) to insure that the good dreams slip through the hole in the net and slide down the feather into the mind.. The bad dreams get hung up in the net and dissolve in the morning light. Dreamcatchers are a symbol of good dreams and peaceful sleep. Sterling silver, 0.75 inches wide, on ear wires. |

The symbol of the Eagle is a one of spiritual freedom and the Great Spirit. It represents the never ending connection that the human spirit has with divine spirit. When we see the eagle soaring in the sky, the feeling of expansiveness, grace, and majesty can be overwhelming to the observer. To go to a powwow and see the dancers wearing their regalia made from eagle feathers is to feel the presence of the Eagle itself. The eagle flies highest in the sky .This gives the Eagle the clearest view of the big picture. He is a mighty warrior and hunter. This is a reminder that we need to get above the petty details and see the whole picture before making a major decision. To wear the symbol of an eagle feather reminds us that we all have the right to be mighty warriors in the pursuit of personal spiritual expression. Sterling silver, 0.31 x 1.18 inches, on ear wires. |

| WolfWalker Full Eagle Fan Earrings | |
![]() |
The feather fan is usually made from the full wing or tail of a particular bird, such as the turkey, eagle, hawk, owl, heron, and even the tiny hummingbird. Full fans are very special and are used in ceremony for healing and blessing. The Native American Church uses fans in their prayer meetings and social dancers have fans for powwows. The little hummingbird maybe small, but its feathers are considered to be very powerful doctoring tools in the hands of a medicine person. The feathers hold the spiritual gifts of the birds and thus pass that energy on in ceremony. Sterling silver, 0.29 x 1.3 inches, on ear wires. |

Medicine bags were worn by all indigenous peoples. They were made from hide and contained anything that the individual thought was empowering or protective. They could contain herbs, stones, beads, hair, holy soil, etc. Everything in the bag had significance to its owner. Some items may have been used for their medicinal value such as an herb, and some for their esoteric value in prayer and ceremony. It was considered disrespectful to ask what was in someone's medicine bag as that knowledge was secret! Sterling silver, 0.67 x 1.61 inches, on earwires. |

| WolfWalker Medicine Wheel Earrings | |
![]() |
The Medicine Wheel or Sacred Hoop of Life is the symbol and teaching of the cycles of life that all people pass through: birth, life, death. All indigenous people have an understanding of life based upon their medicine wheel. Their teachings vary slightly such as the colors of the directions or the positions of the colors. Some of the Lakota People use yellow in the East, white in the South, black in the West, and red in the North. All Medicine Wheels have teachings that help us with our challenges physically, emotional, mentally, and spiritually. The teachings give us an understanding of why we are here, when to act, who is helping us, etc. All wheels honor the 4 directions and the aspects of those four directions such as lessons of clarity coming from the East, lessons of faith from the South, introspection from the West, and wisdom of the white hairs from the North. To walk your life according to the Medicine Wheel gives you a map that creates balance and harmony within the chaos of life's challenges. Sterling silver, with the colors of the four directions in enamel, 0.63 inches diameter on earwires. |
